Bossier Parish Fire District 1
  About us:

Bossier Parish Fire Dist. #1 is  located in East-Central Bossier Parish and protects 142 square miles of Bossier Parish, along with the 18 square miles contracted through Camp Minden.  Our Fire Department was formed in 1978 as East 80 Fire Department.  In 1989, the Bossier Parish Police Jury formed East-Central Bossier Parish Fire District #1.  The new Fire District absorbed East 80 Fire Department.  In 1990, the district became a Fire Protection Class 4 and, in 2007, the rating was improved to a Class 3.  The district is a combination department and is comprised of mainly dedicated volunteers.

Bossier Parish Fire District #1 is under the leadership of Fire Chief Robert Roe.  The department delivers Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support First Response with 13 Nationally Registered Paramedics, numerous Emergency Medical Technicians and Louisiana State Emergency Medical Responders.

The Fire District operates 6 Fire Stations.  Each are equipped with an engine and service truck.  The district also contracts fire protection for the State of Louisiana at Camp Minden.
